Lisa Lake Honored in National “Play it Forward” Contest Washington, D.C. – New York City rugby coach and former USA national team player Lisa Lake has been named a Coach of the Year as the third-place winner of the national Play it Forward contest. Sponsored by Up2Us, the leading national coalition of youth sports organizations, and Youth Noise, a social networking website for young people, the Play it Forward contest invited current and former youth athletes to nominate coaches who have had an effect on their lives. NYRC U19 players Connor Nolan and Rob Cabrera have been selected to play for the METNY Union U19 All Stars A-side vs. Bridgend College (Wales) U19s at Baker's Field at Columbia at 7p.m. Wednesday May 27th. In addition Willie Dominguez and Jordan Torres will be playing in the B-side match immediately following. This is fantastic news for the Club, and should be a great experience for the boys playing against one of the top schools sides in Wales. Congratulations. Please get out to support them.
