We killed like champions. Final score, 29-7 With one of the best turnouts on record, the Gents of N.Y. handily beat the Village Lions on Saturday, April 15...
We scored early and often and twice on pure drives in the scrum we put the ball down in the try zone. Frank Romano, Heavy D, Bud Wolfe all made their Gents debut and all vowed to play again. We played three 20 minute periods and dominated all three periods. Once again, the team combined players from Manhattan, Les Vieux, The NY Old Boys, New York and as always Mike Moran the lone NYAC Old Boy to join the Gents. But we love his red socks. Hats off to Charlie DaVerna and Joe Kelly and his new titanium hip for sharing the ref duties. All in all, it was a great day of rugby. Good turnout, great weather, a lotta old boys and the beers stayed cold. See you all at Randall's for the April 29th game vs the Ct. Grays.
