On a clear, crisp Saturday afternoon at Cummings Park in Stamford, CT, NYM played a tough match against White Plains but were beaten by this well drilled team who go on as favorites to win the Met Union playoffs.

Typically for this season NYM started out flat and despite some strong play from Matt Beckley and the returning Brian Fitzgerald, were caught napping on a number of occasions to turn around at the half 24-3 down. The second half was much stronger though and NYM fought back through tries by Dave Levine, Greg Gilliam and Brian Eastman. This was led by a missive effort from Ben Whitney and Scott Crafton. However, mistakes still plaugued NYM and allwed White Plains to pounce or rapidly turn defense into offense after poaching our ball. This meant that the second half was fairly even and that White Plains finished winning 44-23. Man of the Match: Brian Eastman.

The B-game again showed our strength of numbers. At this stage of the season injuries and other commitments have hurt most of the teams playing in the league. While this showed in the A game our Bs continue to gain valuable experience, and wins, a huge testitment to the numbers we have been getting this seaosn. The guys came off the pitch with smiles on their faces after beating White Plains Bs by a sizeable margin. Mike Toth had a great game, exhibiting a desire and physicality missing for the last couple of weeks. Wagner X Samaniego and Henry Williams also looked dangerous against a young backline and in the first half especially the forwards really took it to White Plains, with Cody "Gras" leading the way over the line. The score could have been more had Cody realized he was over the line and not looked to pass to Nick the Greek instead, who proceeded to run out of the try-zone in true Forrest Gump-style.
