An injury laden squad of New Yorkers traveled across the northern border to the Montreal area to take on our New York Sevens Rivals "TMR" (Town of Mount-Royal) this past Saturday, April 21...
An event presented and organized by Stephanie "Frank" Paddock that ended up being a huge success with some good rugby played by both teams in front of a good crowd. Even with players working out of position, NY put on a good showing against a formidable opponent.

There were many positives in this match, Liz, Andrea and Jenna A-H getting their first taste of rugby with NY, A push over try from a line out by MJ Jennings to reward her work rate, A captains try from Ghetto Collier, NY winning 10 scrums against the head (10 of 12 total TMR scrums), the hosts, the TMR missed conversion that went of the posts to finish the game in a tie... You get the idea. A good trip, a great time, a long time both ways! SPECIAL THANKS We would like to recognise some pretty special people on this club... Stephanie Paddock for arranging the entire trip Mira Serill-Robbins and Jenna Bussman for still making the trip and supporting the team even though they both were sidelined due to ankle injuries sustained on Tuesday and Thursday's practices. All of the Northeast trialists that had to play the game and travel back the same night for the NRU South Camp on Sunday. The players, club members and effort that they all put in on a trip like this is what makes this club so special.
Thanks
