The Women of New York Rugby defeated league rivals Beantown 31-19 this past Sunday in the NRU Championship Finals, to earn the #1 seed heading into the USA Rugby National Championship Playoffs. In the semi-finals on Saturday, New York dispatched Boston 50-0, while Beantown won a much closer match against Keystone, 20-13. 

Beantown will head to Nationals as the NRU #2, US #5 seed, and Keystone, after beating Boston in a tight 3^rd place final 15-10, will enter as the NRU #3, US #8 seed. The first two rounds of the USA Rugby National Championship Playoffs will take place in Austin, TX on October 27-28, 2007.
