NYM has entered into a player exchange agreement with West Brisbane Bulldogs in Australia. Each summer between June and August we will be looking to send 2-3 of our most promising young American players to their Club. There they will train and play alongside top flight players, some of whom will be Queensland Reds and Australian National Team members.
In return Wests will send us two players for our Fall season to complement our ranks. Wests coach Dave Witt and the NYM coaches John Adelaine and Gianni Lopez all said this opportunity affords a unique life experience for players on both teams. All NYM players, who are American, under the age of 26 are encouraged to inquire about further details of this opportunity including the playing standard and travel requirements. Email Ed Brydon for further details. Selection for the spots available on the trip will be determined by the coaches and Mens VP. In addition we are looking for sponsorship to help subsidize the travel costs of our young players going to Australia. If you are interested or know a party that might be please contact the Mens VP, Ed Brydon. NYM is looking forward to working with Wests and gaining a mutual benefit for both sets of players. |
