The Women represented well and won the 3rd annual Old Blue Midnight Sevens tournament held on Saturday, July 12 at Pier 40, outscoring their opponents 112-22...

There was the chance that we'd play the first game – and possibly the whole tournament – without subs or fans but thankfully the re-enforcements arrived in small waves. We tried to keep the game plan simple and were able to make solid adjustments as the games went on.

Anne, a summer sevens college player, joined our squad before the first game and shortly thereafter Katie Brethel did as well. Katie's appearance meant that we had sideline support as well as an impromptu forwards coach/sevens consultant type.

Just before the second game Fontaine, Laura London and friends showed up after being at the Mets game, and Jenna Flateman, Molly and Cooper arrived after having been at Cheesesteak 7's. Mira popped up just in time for the Semi and the Final
