Eddie O'Sullivan Coaches a Joint Session with NYM and NYAC PDF Print E-mail
Monday, 15 September 2008

On Tuesday September 9th the former Irish International team Head Coach put NYM through a joint session with NYAC at Pier 40. This was facilitated by the generosity of the coaches at NYAC, Mike Tolkin and Bruce McLane, and the organizational skills of Matt Persanis, former NYM player and current Iona College and METNY Collegiate All Star coach.

Eddie O'Sullivan is one of the best coaches in Irish history taking them to three triple crowns. Prior to stepping into the Irish Head Coach role he served as Assistant Coach to the USA Eagles working with the backs. He put all the players through an intense training session that covered the tackle/contest area; how enter it, assess your options quickly, and how to protect or win the ball in several scenarios; and organization in defence. All the coaches and players present took a lot from the session and the presence of Mr. O'Sullivan clearly concentrated the minds.
